If your blog post's featured images are fairly low resolution, you may want to delete the top image canvas. Your blog will still look gorgeous, but the top banner section looks best when you upload an image that's 2500px on the long side. Boston Public Garden Engagement Session

July 14, 2025

J and D were in town for a short visit, taking in the city’s charm during a quiet stroll through the Boston Public Garden. As they wandered through the paths, surrounded by trees and late afternoon light, J got down on one knee.

There was no elaborate setup, just the two of them, tucked into a peaceful corner of the garden. A quiet moment, completely theirs. D said yes, and the nearby crowd in the Public Garden began to cheer and congratulate them.

Afterward, they made their way to Contessa. J had planned ahead, reserving a table and secretly inviting a few close friends and family. It was intimate and effortless—proof that a proposal doesn’t need to be big to be meaningful. It just needs to be true to you.

We took a few engagement photos around the Boston Public Garden and captured more moments as they walked toward the restaurant.

Why Boston Public Garden?

The Boston Public Garden is one of the best spots for proposals and engagement photos in Boston. Located right in the heart of the city, it’s easy to access and beautiful all year round whether you’re visiting in spring bloom or during fall foliage. With a mix of greenery, water, historic bridges, and charming pathways, it offers a wide variety of backdrops for photography.

The park is free to enter and, for most small sessions, no photography permit is required. Whether you’re planning a surprise proposal, a portrait session, or simply looking for a romantic place to walk, the Boston Public Garden is a timeless and stress-free location.

Planning a Proposal or Surprise?

BEHIND THE LENS

MEET arlinda

Photographer. Artist. Storyteller.
Inspired by music, movement, natural light, and the quiet beauty of real moments

My background in music, dance, and visual arts taught me to see emotion, movement, and connection in a deeper way. Each of these creative paths shaped how I experience the world and ultimately led me to photography.

I approach photography with a candid, documentary mindset, focusing on real moments as they naturally unfold. I’m drawn to the beauty of natural light and the quiet in-between moments that often hold the most meaning. My goal is to create an environment where you feel comfortable and fully yourself, so your story can be captured in the most honest and authentic way.
